About Us

Wattlewood Stud was established in 2000, initially beginning with Murray Grey cattle, and then an opportunity came to purchase some top quality Angus cows from Jeff Tully’s Wooralla Park Stud.

Among the cows that were purchased was the likes of Wooralla Park Maxine P11 (GT Maximum (USA 88) x Yinnaridge Acacia F30 (VYA F30)). This cow already had a tremendous reputation as a great matron of the Angus Breed, being the dam of some well performed bulls, namely the “Dynamites”(Hingaia 469 (NZE 469) x VVC P11), where they have sold to some highly regarded studs as well as some very efficient commercial operations.

The foundation females of the Wattlewood Angus Stud are animals with great temperament, sound structure and the history of having progeny to go on and perform year after year for their owners.

Stud Principal, Fiona Glover loves the more mature female when she goes shopping.  She believes that the “old cows” have stood the test of time. Selection of sound footed females and clean udders have earned the respect of the owner by consistently having good calves.
